beach!!!!

Yesterday a group of us students decided to go the beach in Tel Aviv for our free day.  We didn't quite know what to expect but were very excited.  After an hour bus ride, we finally arrived to what looked like a beach in Hawaii!  It was so much better than anything I was expecting. 

The deep blue Mediterranean felt like a warm bubble bath.  The water was so clear and clean, unlike the ocean water in California. The sun was shining and little fish swam around us as we floated around in shallow water.

It truly was the perfect day.  We played in the ocean for hours, eat our pita sack lunches, went on a walk through town and got gelato.

After we went into town, Amy, Lizzy, Alyssa and I tried to get a jumping picture... 

As you can see, it first it was a bit of a struggle at first.. haha

...but after many attempts we finally got one!

I had such a wonderful time at the beach and am so glad I could spend it with such amazing friends.
