So back in March Alyssa, Rachel and I (Amy) started the application process for BYU's study aboard in Jerusalem. Alyssa and I have been talking about going since sophomore year in High School, I can even remember the exact moment. The seed was planted in Madame Durst's French class in the back row by the window. Lou and I were chatting it up like usual.
Luckily Madame Durst adored us and didn't mind that we were: 1. not paying attention 2. not talking about our work but something completely off topic 3. not speaking in French. Alyssa was bouncing around the idea of maybe going to Italy on a study aboard while I stubbornly said Jerusalem was the only place I was going and Alyssa should come with me. Lou was unsure and not completely sold on the idea but I knew in my gut that sure enough one day Lou and I would go to Israel together.
Three years later my prediction came true and it is better than I thought because our other bestie Rachel is coming with us! I am unexceptionably excited, and feel incredibly lucky that both my besties got in! We are going to have the time of our lives!
